He was predeceased by: his parents, Gottlieb Frederick and Emma Woermke; and his siblings, Ernest, Leonard (Marion Bressau), Alfred (Yvette Lacroix), Elfreda Miller (Delbert), Edna, Isabelle Demers (Edward) and Esther.

He is survived by: his wife Mary Woermke; his son John Frederick Woermke (Jasmine); his sisters, Marie Arnold (Bill), Norma Struthers (Bert) and Margaret Pac (late Peter); and his sister-in-law Rita Lewis (late Harold). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
