He was predeceased by: his siblings, Edward, William Spencer, Mabel Norton (late Gordon) and Betty Currie; his parents, Elmer Spencer and Floris Spencer; and his mother-in-law Janis.

He is survived by: his wife Joanna Spencer; his children, Donald Stalbe (Diane), Dennis Stalbe and Debra Kuehl (James); his siblings, Ruby McIntyre, Dorothy Webster, Shirley Davey, Henry and Robert Spencer; and his parent-in-law Zenija Stalbe. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews.
