It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gilbert Clifford Popkie (Pembroke, Ontario), who passed away on December 2, 2018, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parent Edward Papke; and his brother Donald Popkie (Judy). He is survived by: his spouse Beverly Popkie; his children, Shirley Hopper (Phil), Petawawa, Pauleen Nickerson (Kevin), Kingston, Brenda St, Chalk River and Michael Popkie; his grandchildren, André (Kristie), Jennifer (Mat), Tyler, Sarah, Megan, Anthony and Selena; his great grandchild Westley; his parent Violet Papke; and his siblings, Ellard Popkie (Shirley), Vincent Popkie, Joan Tomka (Bob), Marjorie Demers (Roger), Delphine Luloff (Stanley), Weldon Popkie (Jane), Rudolph Popkie, Sheila McQuade (Tom) and Arlene Popkie. He is also survived by many nieces & nephews.
