He was predeceased by: his wife Grace Harmer; his son John Wasmund; his parents, Victor Harmer and Madeline Harmer; and his siblings, Douglas Harmer (late Sylvia), Margore Countryman (late Bill) and Phyllis Wagner (late Tom).

He is survived by: his children, Cindy Wasmund, Jeff Wasmund (Pacita "Zita"), Kimberly Bowers, Cesil "Butch" Wasmund, Timmy Wasmund Sr. (Carol McCallum) and Cheryl (Jim Letourneau); and his brothers, Henry (Raymonde) and Victor Harmer (Pat). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
