With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John Gilbert Chaput of Pembroke, Ontario, who passed away on August 27, 2020. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of John Gilbert Chaput to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by : his close friend Estelle Jeanne Chaput; his parents, Lucien Chaput and Elisabeth Chaput; and his siblings, Alfred (Imelda), Marc (Rita) and Berth "Betty" Mainville (Leo).

He is survived by : his son Rheaume (Shelley); and his brother Adrien Chaput. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Jean Baptiste Church, Pembroke on Tuesday, September 15th, 2020 at 11 a. m. DUE TO THE CURRENT RESTRICTIONS REGARDING COVID-19, A LIMITED NUMBER OF PEOPLE ARE PERMITTED IN THE FUNERAL HOME AND AT THE CHURCH AT ANY GIVEN TIME - FACE MASKS/COVERINGS ARE REQUIRED TO ATTEND VISITATION AND THE FUNERAL MASS.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Ottawa Heart Institute or Valérie's Flutter Foundation would be appreciated.
