He was predeceased by: his siblings, Dave Gillies and Betty Moyles; and his grandson John. He is survived by: his spouse Jessie Gillies; his daughter Linda Arsenault (Arty); his grandchildren, Janelle MacDonald, Ryan Arsenault (Sarah) and Brittany Dafoe (Todd); his great grandchild Nathan Dafoe; and his sister Mary Ward.
