He was predeceased by: his siblings, James (Carol), Winston (late Jenny) and Marion; and his parents, William Spurr of Nova Scotia and Nina Spurr of Nova Scotia.
He is survived by: his spouse Meredith Spurr; his children, Bonnie Armstrong (James), White Lake and Sheila Dumas (Ward Somerville); his grandchildren, Aaron Dumas (Amanda), Amber Dumas (Caleb) and Casey Armstrong (Belinda); and his siblings, William Spurr (late Joan) and Henry Spurr (late Betty). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
