She was predeceased by: her husband Weldon Plath; her daughter Sherri-Lynn Young; her parents, Harold Thom and Gloria Thom; and her sisters, Irene Thom and Evelyn Kriegelstein (Andy).
She is survived by: her children, Kevin Plath (Karen) and Corwin "Corey" Plath (Lori); her son-in-law Colonel Tim Young; her grandchildren, Brittany, Stuart Young, Nicholas, Benjamin Plath, Meagan MacLeod and Andrew Bennett; her great grandchildren, Spencer Jaworowski, Caleb, Brooke and Finley MacLeod; her close friend John Petty; and her siblings, Donald Thom (Wendy), Valerie Sandever (James), Leslie Thom (Valerie), Gordon Thom (Leanne), Robert Thom (Karen), Lloyd Thom (Sharon) and Darwin Thom (Cheryl). She is also survived by aunts, uncles and many nieces & nephews.
