With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Melba Helen Hawkins (Pembroke, Ontario), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 14, 2025 at the age of 94. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Henry "Willis" Hawkins; her parents, Carl Antler and Ida Antler; and her siblings, Norman Antler (late Ethel), Doris Joudwa (late Maurice), Garnet Antler (late Madeline), Rhoda Antler, Lois Gilbert (late George), Lloyd Antler (late Viola), Harvey Antler, Ellen Kierstead (late Russ), Myrna Pilatzke (late Mel) and Lillian Schwan (late Don).
She is survived by: her children, Sharon Chuipka (Brian) of Barrie, Bonnie Melin (Miles) of Barrie, Barry Hawkins (Val) of Edmonton and Lois Wilson (Al) of Petawawa; her grandchildren, Matthew, Melissa, Mackenzie, Morgan, Randi, Steven, Tori, Lauren and Julia; and her sister Dwyla Doran (late Warren Jr.). She is also survived by her many nieces, nephews.
