It is with sadness that the passing of Michael Smith (Pembroke, Ontario) is shared. Michael, born on February 14, 1948, passed away on September 7, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Smith and Rose Smith. He is survived by: his wife Rosella Alexia Smith; his daughters, Darlene Peters (John), Karen Smith (Jen Currin) and Helen Smith; his grandchildren, Haley, Sarah and Riane; his siblings, Diane Aquino (late Larry), Vincent Smith (Barbara), Bruce Smith (Caroline) and Mary Ellen McPherson (Bill); and his mother-in-law Lucy Digout.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 9th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Neville Funeral Home (491 Isabella St, Pembroke, ON K8A5T8). A prayer was held on Wednesday, September 9th 2026 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 10th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the Church of the Most Holy Name of Jesus (284 Trafalgar Rd, Pembroke, ON K8A5A6).
As an expression of sympathy, and in lieu of flowers, donations to Cancer Research or St. Joseph's Housing would be appreciated.
