She was predeceased by: her husband Norman Keith Scanes; her daughter Carol; her great grandchild Paisley; her siblings, Peggy (Ken), John and Jim; and her parents, Walter Hathaway and Ivy Hathaway.

She is survived by: her children, Rosemarie Zadow (John) of Pembroke and Andy Scanes (Cathy) of Pembroke; her grandchildren, Kelly Brown, Dean Zadow, Shelley McQuirter, Denise Hubert, Tammy Kennedy and Heidi Scanes; her great grandchildren, Matthew, Erin, Hilary, Ryan, Scott, Jennifer, Santana, Tory, Taylor and Tyler; her great great grandchild Hank; and her siblings, Marie, Edna and David (Mary). She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
