He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Blaedow and Madeline Blaedow; and his siblings, Muriel, Brian, Bruce and Peter.

He is survived by: his children, Erika, Tela and Jenna; his brothers, John (Brenda) and Wayne; his nephews, Richard (Diane), Ian (Christina) and Devin; and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Kirsten, Rickell, Tristen, Alexis and Julia.
