He was predeceased by: his parents, Wallace Bucholtz and Alice Bucholtz; and his brothers, Keith Bucholtz (late Cynthia) and Ferny Bucholtz (late Donna). He is survived by: his spouse Gail Bucholtz; his children, Connie (Al Cashin), Christopher Bucholtz (Amanda), Stephanie (Philip Witt) and Sheri-Lea (Chuck Fraser); his grandchildren, John (Melly), Jeremey (Brittany), Andrew (Cora), Anna, Kurt (Stacy), Sydney (Logan), Nigel (Tal), Amy and Liam; his great grandchildren, Weston and Lennox; his sisters, Evelyn Campbell (Lorne), Bev Hoffman (Bob), Sandra Broome (late Barry), Debbie Williams (Dale) and Wendy Watson; and his sisters-in-law, Pauline Wilson (late Charlie), Waverly Hamilton (late Don), Marilyn Steege (late Ray), Elizabeth Demers (late Maurice), Alice Graveline (late Clarence) and Heather Steege (late Grant).
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 8th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Fraser-Morris and Heubner Funeral Home (5 Crawford St, Cobden, ON K0J1K0). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 9th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Rankin Culture & Recreation Centre (20 Rankin Rink Rd., Pembroke, ON K8A6W4).
