He was predeceased by: his parents, Emmett Godin and Alexina Godin; his siblings, Lois Holden (late Donald), Elroy (late May), Emmett Jr. (Rubena), Jimmy (late Betty) and Bobby Godin; and his siblings-in-law, Eulalia Ryan (late Loyola), Garry Kelly (Hilda) and Phillip "Kell" Kelly (Eunice).
He is survived by: his wife Ethel Godin; his sons, John Godin (Crystal Stewart) and Tom Godin (Pauline Floyd); his grandchildren, Ashley, Kaitlynn, Madison, Whitney, Dakotah and Sierra; and his great grandchildren, Haylee, Mason, Madilynn, Abigail and Bentley. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
