She was predeceased by: her husband Lawrence Handke; her parents, Herman Burchart and Bertha Burchart; and her siblings, Merrill Burchart, Conrad Burchart (Merle), Erich and Sandra.

She is survived by: her children, Stephen Handke, Lorna Handke (Donald White), Wendy Godin (Andrew) and Jeffrey Handke (Alexis); her grandchildren, Tyler, Joshua, Brycen, Olivia and Brittney; her great grandchildren, Tatianna, Natalia, Isabelle, Olivia and Rosalie; and her siblings, Barbara Schauer (Elwin), Frank Burchart (Rita), Joan Laforce (late William), Mona LeMaitre (Marcel), Eldon Burchart (Sheilah) and Beverley LeMaitre (Joe). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
