He was predeceased by: his former wife Helen Schauer; his stepson David Doran; his sibling Shirley Lesway (late Willis); and his parents, Elwood Pearson and Muriel Pearson.

He is survived by: his wife Mary (Doran); his daughters, Sherry Fournier (Todd) and Christine Kinney (late Kevin); his grandchildren, Joshua (Mark), Jordon (Paige), Mackenzie (Peter), Maggie (Andrew) and Carson (Megan); his stepdaughter Bonnie George (Shaun); his grandchildren, Wayne, Alysha (Matt), Natasha (Brodie), Sheara (Mitchel), Ryleigh and Cole; his siblings, Donald Pearson (Janet) and Glenn Pearson (Heather); and his siblings-in-law, Elwin Schauer (Barb), Donald (Judy), Janet (late Bun), Joan (late Merrill), Keith (Joyce), Jim, Betty (late Joe), Doug (Saundra) and Lorna (late Bill). He is also survived by 7 great-grandchildren.
