He was predeceased by: his parents, Max Stencell and Elsie Stencell; and his sister Ruby. He is survived by: his wife Mary Agnes Peplinski; his stepdaughters, Norma Delaurier (Terry), Doreen Mercure and Darleen Copeland (John); and his brothers, Harold Stencell (Leah), Kenneth Stencell, Larry Stencell (Maureen), Orville Stencell and David Stencell. He is also survived by 4 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
