He was loved and cherished by many people including: his spouse Helen Godin (Tate-Dysart); his stepchildren, Heather Hughes (Ken) and Bruce Dysart (Melodie); his children, Gavin Hughes, Fiona Hughes, Lola Dysart and Libby Dysart; his siblings, Antoinette Carmichael, Lucille Scharff, Marie-Jeanne O'Neill, Aline Kerr, Marjorie Hawthorne, Blanche, Joseph, Hector Jr., Emile, Daniel, Maurice, David and Francois Godin; his siblings-in-law, Maria, Coris, Lorraine, Marion Vallentgoed Bob Tate (late Merrill), Brian Tate (Nancy) and Penny Wachter (Harold); and his parents, Hector Godin and Evelyn Godin. He was also cherished by his nieces and nephews.
Peacefully at Marianhill Residence, following a long struggle with Alzheimers, surrounded by the love of his family, on Saturday January 12, 2019 at the age of 85 years.
