He was predeceased by: his parents, Martial Desroches and Exilda Desroches (Laurin); his sisters, Diane Lacroix and Colette Leeking; and his siblings-in-law, Ray Leeking and Paula Grant.
He is survived by: his wife Jeanne; his children, Shaun (Stephanie), Nicole (Jason Zittlau) and Danielle (Shad Shannon); his grandchildren, Benjamin, Kyle, Avery, Noah, Joël and Éloïse; his siblings, JP, Julien, Mike, Pete (Karen), Dave (Claire), Rob (Susan) and Suzanne (Darryl Phillips); and his brother-in-law Don Lacroix. He is also survived by many in-laws, extended family members and friends.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Ann's Church (28 Robert St W, Penetanguishene, ON L9M1L6). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM at the Royal Canadian Legion (2 Poyntz St, Penetanguishene, ON L9M1L9).
In lieu of flowers, donations to Hospice Huronia Tomkins House or Georgian Bay Cancer Support Centre would be greatly appreciated.
