He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Ramsey and Bertha Ramsey (Collins); and his sisters, Violet King, Margaret Haughton and Patricia Ambridge (Budgie).
He is survived by: his children, David Ramsey of Glen Tay, Chuck Ramsey (Darlene) of Maberly, Carol Ann Ramsey (Trevor Badour) of Maberly, Gwendolyn Ramsey of Maberly, Robert Ramsey (Brenda Goth), Lori Ramsey (Charles Hall) and Joanne Beach (Gary) of Vernon; and his siblings, Frank Ramsey (Ella May) of California and Rosemary Haggar (Skee) of Bacchus Island. He is also survived by grandchildren, and nineteen great grandchildren.
