He was predeceased by: his wife Laurielle Chabeaux; and his mother Simone Smith (Desroches). He is survived by: his children, Tatiana (Graham) and Eric Chabeaux-Smith (Stefanie); his grandchildren, Maya and Kai; his sister Carol Hoover; his close friend Val Leavitt; and his family Samoyeds.
