In the sacred silence of farewell, Gary is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that his light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of his loved ones. He was predeceased by: his wife Laurielle Chabeaux; and his mother Simone Smith (Desroches). He is survived by: his children, Tatiana (Graham) and Eric Chabeaux-Smith (Stefanie); his grandchildren, Maya and Kai; his sister Carol Hoover; his close friend Val Leavitt; and his family Samoyeds.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, June 6th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the St. Paul's United Church (25 Gore St W, Perth, ON K7H2L9).
