She was predeceased by : her husband Robert Ellis (Ottawa); her brothers, Charles and Robert Phelan (Montreal); and her parents, Margaret Phelan (Beard) and Eugene Phelan (Montreal).

She is survived by : her stepchildren, Shirley Hicks (Bill), Patty St (Rick) and Richard Ellis (Ottawa). She is also survived by nieces and nephews.

In memory of Georgie donations may be made to the Friends of the National Library and Archives or the Perth and Smiths Falls District Hospital.
