He was predeceased by: his parents, Antoine Desjardins and Josephine Desjardins (Renaud); his son Arthur Desjardins; and his siblings, A. J., Leonard, Jimmy, Catherine Sherwood, Carmel Watt, Annetta Simpson and Eleanor Milotte.
He is survived by: his wife Emma Desjardins (Echlin); his children, Emily and Cyril (Chistine); his grandchildren, Gerald, Glenn (Kellie), Jacob, Brad (Jenn), Rachael (Ryan), Noel, Jeremy, Jason, Justine (Ben), Danielle, Tyler (Stephanie) and Jordan; his great grandchildren, Cassia (Jaden), Nadan, Zahlya, Madison and Remy; and his sister-in-law Margaret Milotte. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 23rd 2026 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Blair & Son Funeral Home (15 Gore St W, Perth, ON K7H2L7).
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Sacred Heart Church, Lanark on Thursday September 24th, 2026 at 10:00 A.M. Interment, Sacred Heart Cemetery, Lanark Those wishing are asked to consider memorial donations to the Children's Hospital of Eastern Ontario (CHEO) or the Diabetic Society.
