He was predeceased by: his former wife Nada (Sproule); his parents, Jack Closs and Winnie Closs; and his brothers, Carl (Sharon) and Buddy Closs (Marie).

He is survived by: his spouse Kay Closs; his children, Terry, Brian Carey (Melanie) and Ron Closs; his grandchild Jenn (Brad); and his sisters, Peggy Barr (Dan) and Leola Majore (Dan). He is also survived by his many nieces, nephews, and friends.

A service will be held in the Blair & Son chapel on Wednesday, February 18, 2026 at 11:00 A.M. In honour of Gordon, memorial contributions to the Alzheimer's Society of Lanark, Leeds & Grenville (https://alzheimer.ca) or the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
