He was loved and cherished by many people including : his wife Audrey Jordan (Conroy); his children, Jacqueline (Ken Guarisco), Paul (Erin MacDonald) and Jane (Larry Hope); his grandchildren, Adam, Rachel Guarisco, Silas, Ewan Jordan, Katie and Connor Hope; his parents, John Jordan and Mary Jordan (Scharf); his siblings, Harold (Emma), Lloyd (late Barbara), Robert (Marilyn) and Betty Miller (Arnold); and his sister-in-law Eva McLean (Frank). He was also cherished by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins.

In remembrance of him donations in his name can be made to Perth and Smiths Falls District Hospital Foundation - Perth Site, or the Heart and Stroke Foundation.

“To all the Jordans, I am writing to express my heartfelt sadness at your loss. Alan was a truly wonderful man with a great sense of humour, a dedication to his work and a warm and thoughtful nature. His life touched so many hundreds of people who, like me, always smiled to see him. What was remarkable was how he took the time to really get to know all us kids as we were growing up.
