He was predeceased by: his wife Dorothy Hannah (Stewart); his sisters, Christina McIntyre (William) and Olive (Elwood Gray); his brother-in-law Allan Campbell; his siblings, Rod (Hilda), Charlie (Lena) and Dan (Verna); his son Steve; and his brothers-in-law, Jack (Joyce) and Stan Vanden Bosch.

He is survived by: his son Rick (Barb); his siblings-in-law, Betty Vanden Bosch, Ralph Stewart (Janet) and Sylvia McNamee (Wayne); his granddaughters, Sarah Cordick (Jason), Jessica Halsall (Graham) and Chelsea; and his great grandchildren, Logan, Henry, Noah and Felix. He is also survived by nephews, friends.
