He was predeceased by: his parents, Nelly Hartlen and Oscar Hartlen; and his siblings, Cyril Hartlen and Gladys (Turk Slaunwhite). He is survived by: his wife Dorothea Hartlen; his children, Donald Hartlen (Sheila), Sherry Picotte (Brent Decaire), Deborah Kekewich (Skip), Kevin Hartlen (Cynthia) and Cathleen Nash (Tom); his grandchildren, Courtney (Chris), Kurt (Kate), Brittney (Luca), Lindsay (Matt), Teia (Mark), Sean (Diana), Michael (Amanda), Erin (Yan), Meghan (Darcy), Jeffrey (Samantha), Emily (Jay), Ian (Jessey), Andrew (Nicole), Jessica (Jon), Louis (Jessi), Colleen (Connor) and Laura; and his siblings, Redmond Hartlen, Colleen Creelman (Walter), Muriel Hartlen and Veronica Tucker (Blaine). He is also survived by his 16 great grandchildren.
