She was predeceased by: her husband Robert Benjamin Bird; her parents, James Blaquiere and Laura Blaquiere; her daughter Judy; and her siblings, Ronald, Ivan, Terry, Joan and Vivian.

She is survived by: her children, Gail Yunace (Frank), Nova-Scotia, Linda Slack, George Galbraith (Lisbeth), Denmark and Roxanne Dodsworth (Neil); her stepchildren, Cathy Pitcher and Douglas Bird; her grandchildren, Lorrie-Anne Yunace (Alan), Frank Yunace (Megan), Patrick Galbraith (Kristina), Daniel Galbraith (Camilla), Jared Dodsworth (Trinity), Ron Slack (Corina) and Scott Slack; her great grandchildren, Hayden, Alexa Bambury, Ella Yunace, Ava, Andrew Tilley, Kyla, Sydny Slack and Alexander Galbraith; her brother Kevin Blaquiere (Grace); and her sibling's children, Cathy Blaquiere, Anna-Marie Oberg, Jamie Blaquiere, Brian, Gary Clapson, Andy, Kevin Blaquiere, Deborah Staples, Roger Staples and Sean Blaquiere.
