He is survived by: his wife Lorraine Strachan; his children, Robert Strachan (Kerrie), Stephen Strachan (Danielle Blacquiere), Bonnie Strachan-Oman (Leo Oman) and Heather Strachan Petawawa (Steve MacMullin); his grandchildren, Rob (Jess), Kirk (Ashley), Brian (Chrissy), Stephen, Jennifer (Nelson), Adam (Jenn) and Kristie; his great grandchildren, Robbie, Lily, Kenzie, Rylee, Lars, Harrison, Lucas, Jessie and Arianna; and his sister-in-law Barb Garness.

“I am so sorry to hear about bob’s passing. He lived across the street from my parents for many years and he was a great neighbour and friend, not just to my parents but to me too. Bob and i shared a lot of laughs. We always had a funny joke about ‘the coast being clear’ as we crossed the road to visit, although the roots of the story escape me. He was like a second dad.
