He is survived by: his children, Heather (John), Karen (Dan), Angela, Greg (Laura), Mike, Barbara Ruth (Larry) and Larry (Colleen); his grandchildren, Ian Shields (Kate), Ryan Shields (Elizabeth), Tony Smith (Tara), Richard Smith (Alison), April Esson, Elizabeth Esson (Jay), Tawnia Milne (Mike), Kelly Crowe (Jeff), Matthew Laffrenier (Kristi), Michelle Courtemanche (Patrick), Kathleen Smith and Gillian Smith; his great grandchildren, Jonathon Esson, Jennifer Ranger, Kaitilyn Esson, Madeline Esson, Julia Esson, Saoirse Jordan-Smith, Sean Smith, Ben Smith, Oliver Smith, Arlo Smith, Lucy Smith, Rachael Milne, Hayden Crowe, Landon Crowe, Keira Laffrenier, Isabelle Courtemanche, Isaac Courtemanache and Hannah Shields; and his great great grandchild Audrey Esson. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
