He was predeceased by: his wife Leona; his stepchild Laurie Jessup (Dan); and his stepgrandchildren, Sara, Matthew, Joshua, Justin, Paul, Kristie, Michael, Gage and Jamie.

He is survived by: his former wife Mary; his stepchildren, Kevin Coppins (Chris) of Kirkfield, Dave Coppins (Sherry) of Apsley and Laurna Lanteigne (Mike) of Peterborough; his sibling Eddie Meecham; and his sister-in-law Cheryl Strong.

In memory of Alfred, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or Hospital for Sick Children would be appreciated.
