He was predeceased by: his parents, Lillian Franks and Stanley Franks; and his siblings, Ralph Franks (Jane) and Linda Knox (Bob). He is survived by: his daughters, Sandra Hope (Steve), Barb Derry (Kevin) and Pam Roberts (Jason); his grandchildren, Brittany (Julian), Brett (Qasem), Corey (Nicole), Payton, Owen, Isaac and Mackenzie; his siblings, Shirley Hagerman (Wayne) and Marie Walsh (Orlyn); and his siblings-in-law, Sharon Pattinson (Tom) and Ross Bailey (Heather).
Visitation was held on Monday, January 12th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Highland Park Funeral Centre (2510 Bensfort Rd, Peterborough, ON K9J1C5). A funeral service was held on Monday, January 12th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
In recognition of the wonderful and compassionate care he received whenever a patient at Peterborough Regional Health Centre, or in recognition of his love of the outdoors, donations to PRHC or to the Ontario Federation of Anglers and Hunters would be appreciated by the family.
