He was predeceased by: his wife Bernadette Turcotte; his sister Doreen O'Keefe (Dom); and his parents, Norman Shaughnessy and Helena MacFarlane. He is survived by: his children, Don (Margaret), James (Helen), Alayne Besseling Stephen (Jules), Karen, Janet Tucker (Kevin) and Michael (Carol); and his sisters, Eileen McTeague (late Pat) and Marilyn Sullivan (late Paul).
