He was predeceased by: his son Keith (Natalie); his stepchildren, David, Don Huggins and Reatta Fallis; his sisters, Helen Mitchler (Guy), Marjorie Donald (Andrew), Frances Wilkinson (Bill) and Ethel Peacock (George); and his stepsister Margaret Mace (Jarvis).
He is survived by: his wife Doris; his children, Karen O'Brien, Gwen Cooney (Garnet) and Bernie (Marie); his stepson Jeff Huggins (Frances); his grandchildren, Jennifer, Kimberly, Johnnie, Amanda, Kristen, Matthew, Katrina, Stephanie, Jonathan, Hailey, Jessica, Brittany, Adrian, Ashton, Nathan, Kyle and Brody; and his brothers, William and Karl O'Brien (Diane).
In memory of Bernie, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, the Canadian Diabetes Association, or the PRHC Intensive Care Unit would be appreciated by the family.
