She was predeceased by: her husband Herbert; and her brothers, Fred (Georgette) and Harry (Marie-Paule). She is survived by: her daughter Maureen O'Neill (Al O'Neill); her grandchildren, Shawn O'Neill (Janice Wing), Tim O'Neill (Jenn Montieth), Kelly O'Neill (Kevin Bryenton) and Shannon O'Neill; and her sister Joan Watters (late George). She is also survived by nieces and nephews, family friends.
Bessie was a talented knitter, avid reader, enjoyed keeping her mind sharp with various activities, and until covid shut things down, she continued her daily walks.
