He was predeceased by: his siblings, Elizabeth, Jim and Robert. He is survived by: his children, Michael Downie, Steve Downie (Cyndie) and Lori Downie (Bill Hetherton); his granddaughters, Emma and Olivia; and his close friend Betty Scott.
