He was predeceased by: his parents, Stephen James and Mae Gavin; his brothers, Winston and Tom; and his niece Susan.
He is survived by: his wife Marie; his children, Ivan, Todd, Michelle (David), Barbara and Trinda (Wally); his brothers, David, Boyd (Edna), Doug (Maureen) and Jim (Ellie); and his sister-in-law Mona.
