Cecil Frank LaChapelle Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Cecil Frank LaChapelle (Peterborough, Ontario), who passed away on May 6, 2026 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Cecil and Ruth; and his siblings, Brian and Pat LaChapelle. He is survived by: his significant other Betty Freemantle (Doris Effie Stone); his sons, Steven and David LaChapelle; his sisters, Frances and Yvonne; his children, Donny (Gail), Jamie (Stacey), Angela Brotherstone (Peter) and Tony (Wendy); and his grandchildren, Courtney, Michael, Hannaha, Tyler, Jaclyn (Joe), Jessica and Danielle (Rob). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

In honour of Cecil, donations to the PRHC Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
