He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Lawrence Dawson and Edna Kathleen Dawson; and his siblings, William and Leta. He is survived by: his wife Stella; his children, Peter (Lucy), Michael, John, Anne Seli (Norman) and Mary McGarrity (James); his grandchildren, Matthew, Michael, Paul Seli, Charlotte McGarrity (Todd Rossi), Anne McGarrity (Tristan O'Reilly) and Katie Dawson; and his great grandchildren, Evelyn O'Reilly, Stella Rossi and Willow O'Reilly.
