He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Tower and Annie Tower (Roberts); and his siblings, Leroy, Doreen Goodine and Ruth Wright.
He is survived by: his wife Sandy; his children, Joe Nichols (Chrissie) and Susan Thompson (Jim); his grandchildren, Ethan, Lucas, Megan, Tyler, Shaylee and Kyla; and his siblings, Angels, Georgina LeBlanc and David (Tracy). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
