He is survived by: his children, Maureen McGarity, Michael McGarity (Bonnie), Anne Stancek (Andrew), Christine Thompson (Paul) and Carol McGarity (Kevin Shipley); his grandchildren, Valerie (Dave), Claire Marie, Christopher (Shastina), Matthew, Irene, Kathleen, Joan, Ellen, David, Michael, Jonathan, Mary and Olivia; his great grandchild Mia; his sibling Pat O'Halloran; and his wife Maggie.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations could be made to Covenant House or Development and Peace.
