He was predeceased by: his son Stephen Petherick; his parents, Harold Petherick and Stella Petherick; his siblings, Shirley Massie (Reg, Betty Wilson), John (late Ruth) and Raymond; and his grandchildren, Ashton and Jacob Petherick.

He is survived by: his spouse Joanne Petherick; his children, Lance Petherick (Eva), Ashley Petherick, Felicity, Hillary, Annica, Maddie, Lily and Ira; his siblings, Patricia Petherick, Carol Stevenson (late Everett) and Gail Dunkley (late Keith); his brother-in-law Tom Dafoe (Kathy, Mike Dafoe); and his pet Casey. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
