It is with great sadness that we announce the death of David McNaught (Peterborough, Ontario), who passed away on March 11, 2025, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his sisters, Jeanne Kyne and Jackie Robb. He is survived by: his nieces and nephews, Chris Peel (late Dick), Jane Robb, Jo Pillon (Ken), Bill Robb (Robin), Phelim Kyne (Maria), Robin DeShane (Craig), Trevor Pillon (Kerry), Andrea Hunt (Tanner), Collin, Carson DeShane, Seamus McFarland, Hudson and Everly Hunt.
Visitation will be held on Monday, March 24th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Ashburnham Funeral Home (840 Armour Rd, Peterborough, ON K9H2A2). A memorial service will be held on Monday, March 24th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service will be held on Monday, March 24th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location.
Dave's crowning joy was his massive collection of rare books that climaxed with his donation in 2024 of more than 2, 000 texts to the University of Toronto's Pontifical Institute of Mediaeval Studies.
