Dean Paterson Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dean Paterson in Peterborough, Ontario, born in Toronto, Ontario, who passed away on September 18, 2021, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was loved and cherished by many people including: his spouse Beverley (Townsend); his children, Robert, Debra (Sandford) and Sandra (Craig); his grandchildren, Matthew, Kaitlyn (Daniel), Sierra (Luke), Sydney, Nicholas and Jack; his great grandchildren, Penelope and Willow; his sister-in-law Barbara Olive (Robert); his brothers, Gordon and Eric; and his parent Bancroft.

“Mr and Mrs Paterson were both such an integral part of my childhood. We really couldn't have asked for kinder neighbours. Mr P was always so generous with his time and used to devote hours to flooding and snow blowing an ice-skating rink for us in the winter. I always smile when I think of how meticulously he maintained his lawn or how he used to call his dog Emma home from her 'foraging expeditions.' My children always spoke in awe of Mr P and remember the winters when he would build them a rink in the side yard. He was a big man with a big heart and we will always remember him fondly.
