He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Cheryl MacDonell; his parents-in-law, Vern and Hilda Hamilton; his parents, Arthur MacDonell and Flossie MacDonell; his siblings, Michael, Paul (Diana), Stephen (Wendy), Tom (Melody) and Anne Marie (Torry); his sister-in-law Nancy Kehoe (Pat); his stepchildren, Ashley and Courtney; his nieces and nephews, Mark, Corey, Jenna, Kaitlyn, Kevin, Cole, Connor, Chelsey, Kristen and Allyson; his grandfathers, Popadopolous, Parker, Payson and Maylee; and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Raelynn, Maya, Jackson, Jase and Jade.

Due to Covid-19 a celebration of life will be held at a later date.
