With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Douglas DeMara (Peterborough, Ontario), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 23, 2025 at the age of 90. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Douglas DeMara to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his wife Leona English. He is survived by: his children, Ken DeMara (Janis), Karen Sage (Doug), Shirley DeMara, Steve DeMara (Halina), Bruce DeMara and Lanace DeMara (John); and his grandchildren, Nygel, Kyle, Tyler, Troy, Bryan, Krysta, Harley, Keli, Kevin and Alicia. He is also survived by 12 great grandchildren.
A celebration of life was held on Saturday, November 29th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Highland Park Funeral Centre (2510 Bensfort Rd, Peterborough, ON K9J1C5).
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to Peterborough Hospice House or a charity of your choice.
