It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Douglas Robert Johnson (Peterborough, Ontario), who passed away on January 4, 2023, at the age of 66, leaving to mourn family and friends. “Doug was a sweetheart always willing to help. He knew my family from the track and when our paths would cross usually at the doors of St. Peter's Cathedral on Sundays I would get a hug, a report on How Mark's horses were doing, and how his mom was doing. Also any other family news he thought was important.He would ask if I needed any change if not he could use some as he opened the door for me. We both would leave each other a little richer one with a smile and one with a few more coins.”
