With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Douglas Lenard Smith (Peterborough, Ontario), who passed away on June 30, 2025 at the age of 77. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Jean Smith (Allen); his close friend Shirley Orr; his parents, Kenneth Smith and Margaret Smith (Hayes); his brother Bryan; and his brother-in-law Neil Allen.
He is survived by: his grandchildren, Dylan, Alyssa and Tyler Ivankovic; his brothers, Kenny (Anne) and Steve (Cheryl); his siblings-in-law, Erna Allen and Richard Allen; and his niece Ashleigh Allen. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews.
Donations can be made in his memory to The Canadian Cancer Society or the Canadian Diabetes Association.
