It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Elisabeth Mondria (Peterborough, Ontario), who passed away on December 23, 2025, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid farewell to this luminous soul, let her loved ones carry forward the torch of her memory, illuminating the path ahead with the warmth of her love and the brilliance of her spirit. Though Elisabeth may journey beyond the horizon of our sight, her essence remains woven into the very fabric of our being — a guiding light in the darkness, a beacon of hope in the night.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Klara Hengartner and Meinard Hengartner; and her spouse Albartus Mondria. She is survived by: her children, John (Judy), Willem (Mariann), Elizabeth (Brian), Linda (Billy), Brian (Heather) and Ingrid. She is also survived by eighteen Grandchildren and twenty three Great Grandchildren.
In her memory, and in lieu of flowers, donations to World Vision would be appreciated by her family.
