He was predeceased by: his son Joshua; and his siblings-in-law, Robin Hillis and Dale Hillis. He is survived by: his children, Stacey, Jason, Billie-Joan, Jamie and Robyn; his grandchildren, James, Matthew, Erin, Daylan, Roan, Autumn, Ember, Atticus, Hadley, Alice and Lorcan; his brothers, Bill (Keitha), Nelson and Steve; his siblings-in-law, Randy Hillis (Arlene), Dareth Bellwood (Reg), Jeff Hillis (Carol), Cindy Hillis and Leasa Robertson (Peter); his friend John Rothwell; and his father-in-law William Hillis.
